Christmas is all about sparkle. So it seems only fitting that the shimmer and shine should make its way onto the cocktail menu. One way to keep the party swinging is to serve cocktails throughout dinner – making them part of your festive tablescape.
A dazzling cocktail can deliver some real twinkle and festive flavours. Here, Denis Broci, Bar Manager at London’s incomparable Claridge’s Hotel, shares his recipe for creating a cocktail that’s bound to send you dashing onto the dance floor or tiptoeing towards the mistletoe.

35ml Absolut Elyx vodka
10ml Cocchi Rosa (an aromatic wine)
25ml lime juice
1 drop of Pimento Bitters
1 drop of Ginger Bitters
Pour all the ingredients except the Champagne into a cocktail shaker. Shake well, strain and pour slowly into a martini glass. Top up with Champagne and garnish with grated nutmeg for added Christmas spice.
Bring on the bubbles… go on, it’s Christmas.
