All Hail Queen Poppy!

‘Bath time for the bold and brilliant’ is how Jo Malone London Girl Poppy Delevingne describes Queen of Pop, her latest colourful nine-piece collection designed especially with the ritual of bathing in mind, because bath time is Poppy’s ‘favourite thing in the whole entire world.’ The Queen of Pop collection therefore includes all the ingredients for the perfect soak as according to Poppy. After all, you should always find an excuse to do more of your favourite things.

Poppy has developed a triple treat of products to spoil yourself with: candles, cologne and bubble bath, all wrapped up in playful packaging. Think pink with a party of polka dots and a splash of stripes. All carefully selected to celebrate the art of Fragrance Combining and Poppy’s favourite scents. ‘I wanted to encourage people to layer different products together to create the perfect bath time package for them and their mood,’ she explains.

A wholly personal collection for Poppy, all the colognes include a nod to her happy history with fragrance. There’s Amber & Lavender, worn by her husband, James, Red Roses because it was the first scent Poppy ever wore and ‘feels like an old friend’. Peony & Blush Suede is a new favourite that always wins Poppy compliments. And she is a fervent champion of the smaller 30ml bottles. ‘I love that you can take them with you and layer your scent throughout the day. You could start the day with Red Roses and add Amber & Lavender for your gorgeous night time fragrance.’

But at the heart of the limited-edition collection is a trio of bubble baths designed to leave skin feeling cleansed, nourished and smooth. ‘I wanted the bubble baths to be particularly luxurious, I chose Velvet Rose & Oud, Black Cedarwood & Juniper and Nectarine Blossom & Honey as the scents because they all have this sensual side, while also being very relaxing.’

But how to bathe Poppy-style? ‘Draw a long hot bath add lashing of Queen of Pop Bubble Bath. Play a little Fleetwood Mac in the background, light a candle (ok, maybe three) and include a rubber ducky for company. Preferably pink with black polka dots.’ Who wouldn’t want to dive right in?
